After Gym Sunrise at Towradgi
Another Saturday another early wake up, today I made the most of the time by going for an early morning gym session before heading to Towradgi Pool to see what the sunrise had in store. This first shot is as I arrived, I’ve never really noticed it before but I was drawn to the way the light shone off the side of the toilet block giving the side of the building a nice warm contrast to the blue hour sky in the distance

The breeze was catching the water in the pool from about halfway changing the way the water rippled. I got a close up image of the two different patterns, see below
A very moody sky threatening to open up on the seagull having a rest on the pool railing. With the wind being blocked by the famous black rocks and the southern edge of the pool, you can see the difference in the ripples closer to that northern end under the seagull.

We had a celebrity in the pool for the better part of the last two or three weeks. A blue Groper with one fin missing got washed in during a high tide, attracting all sorts of people to come and have a look. It even managed to evade people from the fisheries department trying to catch and release it. They finally got hold of it when council came to clean the pool during the week, checked it over and released it back into the ocean with a clean bill of health.
One of my favourite views in Wollongong is from the pool looking across Towradgi beach at the lifeguard towers whith Mt Keira and Mt Kembla overlooking the scene from the background
