Towradgi Sunrise

After getting sick a few days before Christmas I woke up early Saturday morning coughing uncontrollably. I decided to get up, grab the camera and go to the beach trying to get some salt air in my lungs to help open them up and make it easier to breathe.

I wasn’t super keen to be taking photos, but I also hate not taking the camera with me when I go out for a sunrise cause you just never know what you will find.

I spent most of the time before sunrise standing above the pool watching the small swell and the early morning swimmers, even though didn’t find anything too interesting to shoot I just used the time to stop and take in the scenery. Although I wasn’t well, I also took the time to be grateful I could still get outside and enjoy a sunrise

Once the sun rose I wandered the area looking for inspiration. Finding it in the sunlight on the side of a ship under stormy skies, the handrails of the pool and the water in the pool itself

Once I had walked through the water and clambered over rocks for a while I retreated back to the grass above the pool and went back to watching the world wake up. Lazily and slowly, after an unseasonably cold Christmas and Boxing Day, people emerged. Some swimming, some walking, a few exercising and the rest just out to soak in the start of another day
