An Uninspiring Morning
So much cloud, so little light. Unfortunately that was the theme of the morning. Got this image, from the pool deck, of a clouded in Mt Keira sitting behind the lifeguard tower on Towradgi Beach.
I noticed a month or so ago that the ladder and hand rails have been removed from the middle of the pool, not sure why or if they’re replacing them but so far it seems not. I reckon they were the focus of 50% of my images around Towradgi Pool so shoots will be a bit different if they leave it as is.
As I walked along the beach I played with some ICM images like I normally do when I’m feeling uninspired by what the morning dishes up.
Kept the slow shutter theme going, attempting to capture the grasses in the wind with mixed results.
Took too many images of the lifeguard tower. Editing in black and white really brought out the mood in the clouds. Thought this looked cool with the bird resting on the corner of the roof and the texture of the clouds in the background.
Another example of the black and white lifeguard tower.
On the way back I found a fisherman standing at the edge of the pool trying his luck. Liked this angle with the waves breaking in the foreground and Flagstaff Hill and the lighthouse in the background
This Pacific gull was hanging out on the shoreline, sometimes wading through the water and others running away from the waves as if they were a toddler playing.
One last shot of the pool as I walked back to the car, as the tide came in the water was washing over the pool deck and warning signs. I thought it looked cool having the signs all distorted by the water
As always don’t forget to check out the rest of the
