Chilling at Towradgi
After finding these flowers last week after the Bellambi shoot I had to come back and get a blue hour image and see what it looked like, I think I prefer last weeks but let me know what you think.
A beautifully still pool greeted me and unusually there was no one around to jump in and ruin it haha. I had it like this for a good 20 minutes before the first of this mornings swimmers turned up
Sunrise was a standard affair with no clouds, luckily the pool being nice and still gave me something to shoot for a while. With the tide on its way in there was the occasional wave breaching the pool walls leaving the very slight ripples seen here
First laps of the morning, I love the contrast between the totally still water in front of the swimmer and the waves they’re creating behind them as they make their way through the pool. Normally I’d use the ladder handrails to add a little extra to the image but they’ve been removed for some reason. I think the warning signs painted around the pool are the next best option

You know I can’t shoot at any beach without shooting the waves, the shape of this one with the spray coming off the top and the land in the background stood out as one I should process

A big group of people came down for a sunrise dip, there would have been 30 or more, all looked to be in their early 20s. It was hard to find an image in the swarm until this young woman went and sat at the edge of the pool taking in the sunrise with a moment of calm amongst the chaos.
