Kiama Mornings
I watched the full moon the whole drive down to Kiama, hoping when I got there I’d be able to make a photo or two with it. Got this one not long after arriving at the pool, some interesting gradients of colour across the sky adds a little bit extra to this one
Next I changed position and angles while zooming in to get the moon setting over the houses. Not one of my best shots but I think the scale of the moon above the houses looks good.
Made some black and white images around the pool while I waited for the sun to get past a cloud bank on the horizon.
I also went for a bit of a walk around the harbour while waiting for the sun to turn up. Really loved the look of the old fishmarket building with some nice sunlight glowing across the sky
Back at the pool and managed to capture this nice sunstar with the chain railing around the edge of the pool. Waves were small and inconsistent but I got a nice shot of one smashing into the rocks with the nice glow of light from the rising sun
Went for a walk up the hill to see the lighthouse and blowhole. To my surprise the blowhole was actually working, not consistently but often enough to excite a few people in the area.
Found someone sitting here enjoying the view and thought it made a nice image, I did remove some elements I didn’t like (a bin and an emergency info post) just to give it a cleaner look
Finally a shot of the pool with some very dry grass in the foreground and Bombo Beach in the background with a train going past
As always don’t forget to check out the rest of the
images from the morning in the gallery below
