Walk Around the Park
Didn’t have much of a plan for this morning, was also running late which limited the areas I could go. Started heading towards the lighthouse but as I drove over the bridge I remembered I’d been meaning to get some sunrise shots around the start of the boardwalk that leads through Puckeys Reserve. Parked the car next to Stuart Park and walked back to the start of the boardwalk, Got lucky with someone walking along the beach at exactly the right time to include them in this Image.
Walked along the boardwalk until I crossed the bridge and found this scene waiting to be captured. A little colour in the sky and some nice greenery around the edges and the creek running through the middle with a slight reflection
On my way back to the park to continue my walk around I had this person run past so I waited till they got on to the bridge so I could get a shot, it helped that they were wearing a bright red hat so you can actually see them on the bridge. A few others had run past on the bridge but their clothes were too dark and they blended into the background too much.
Found some Incredible light hitting the reeds and fence line around the pond near the kids playground, along with some Purple Swamphens grazing amongst the grass and some cranes in the background working on the ever growing skyline of Wollongong
This little Willy Wagtail scared me when it basically ran across my foot while my attention was on the sky. It hopped around me feeding in the grass for a good 10 minutes or more, not scared of me at all.
Once again I took plenty of ICM images, both of the beach and some in the trees and around Stuart Park
Frame within a frame with this walker framed between the rails of the walkway and the middle of the trees. Took this one with a slower shutter, still in use from the ICM images, to emphasise the movement of the walker
After that I walked over to the fence line and found a surfer just about to enter the water under golden skies with a bit of a wave breaking out the back
Couldn’t resist the solo tree under these cloudy skies with some nice light coming in from the side. Last but not least got some black and white images from around the pond
As always don’t forget to check out the rest of the
images from the morning in the gallery below
